Boom Club Great British Banquet Tour

Boom Club’s Great British Banquet Tour Kicks Off at Snowtrax

On Friday 4th September, Boom Club brought the FIRST stop of their Great British Banquet tour to Snowtrax. We had pro riders, a pop up shop, BBQ food, cash for tricks and a slope full of hungry local shredders under the floodlights.

Basically a Friday Night Freestyle session on acid.

Who are Boom Club?

Boom Club is a crew of freeskiers (plus a few snowboarders) who learnt to ride on British dryslopes and indoor domes before going on to ride around the world. Board members Chris McCormick and Tom Greenway grew up when tours like Woodsy’s Mad Dogs and Tell a Friend brought international riders to UK slopes. Those tours inspired a whole generation of Brits, and the Banquet was set up to do the same for the kids riding today.

It was a bit of a homecoming too. Snowtrax is Boom Club’s Felix Klein’s local slope.

The Tour

The Great British Banquet ran the length of the country, hitting two dryslopes and two indoor snow centres:

  • Snowtrax, Christchurch
  • Snowdome, Tamworth
  • Chill Factore, Manchester
  • Bearsden, Glasgow

Boom Club brought a crew of international pros along with them. Both indoor stops SOLD OUT, and the tour wrapped up in Glasgow with the locals throwing doubles at Bearsden.

The Snowtrax Stop

The night went like this:

  • 6pm – Pop up shop
  • 7pm – Open jam
  • Cash for tricks, with prizes from Peak Performance and K2
  • BBQ
  • Demo skis available
  • 10pm – Movie screening

A LARGE crowd of local riders came out to session with the pros, and the jam went hard right through the evening. Seeing groms riding the same features and chasing the same prizes as the riders they follow online is exactly why this tour exists.

The Only Stop on Proslope

Snowtrax was the only stop on the tour riding Proslope, and the rider feedback on the surface was brilliant across the board. It’s fast, it grips when you need it to, and it takes a beating on landings. Getting that kind of feedback from riders who’ve ridden everything, everywhere, means a lot to us.

Watch This Space

Downdays have already put out a write up of the full tour, and the official recap video from Boom Club is dropping soon. We’ll share it on our socials as soon as it’s live.

Massive thanks to Boom Club, Peak Performance, K2 and everyone who came down to ride.

If the night’s got you itching to ride, Friday Night Freestyle is where it all starts.

The questions everyone asks

What should I wear for a ski or snowboard lesson FAQs.

Boom Club is a UK freeski crew made up of riders who grew up on British dryslopes and indoor slopes. They run events to bring the international freeski scene closer to home and inspire the next generation of UK riders.

It was Boom Club's UK tour in September 2026, with four stops at Snowtrax (Christchurch), Snowdome (Tamworth), Chill Factore (Manchester) and Bearsden (Glasgow). Each stop featured open jams with pro riders.

Snowtrax hosted the first stop of the tour on Friday 4th September 2026. The night included a pop up shop, open jam, cash for tricks, BBQ food, demo skis and a movie screening.

Snowtrax's freestyle terrain is built on Proslope. It was the only stop on the Great British Banquet tour riding this premium surface.

Our Friday Night Freestyle sessions give you the chance to ride rails, boxes and jumps on the same slope the Boom Club crew rode. Check the website for dates and booking.

Nothing is confirmed yet. Follow @snowtrax_uk on Instagram to hear about future events first.
